Store Remodels
Merchandising Resets, Fixture Installs, Local Talent Deployment, Daily Communication
The Challenge
Remodeling a store while keeping day-to-day operations running is no easy task. Each Walmart remodel brings fast-paced schedules, evolving floor plans, and high expectations. From fixture installs and merchandising resets to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) adjustments and signage updates, the scope is broad, and consistency across all locations is critical.
Walmart needed a labor partner that could meet these demands with precision, speed, and professionalism.
The Approach
We met this challenge by doubling down on three key areas: communication, leadership, and local recruiting.
Clear, Consistent Communication
We believe communication should never be an afterthought. Our Field Managers and Senior Project Coordinators connect daily with Walmart leadership, aligning goals, surfacing issues, and adapting quickly when plans change. This daily rhythm helps keep projects moving smoothly, especially during overnight shifts, and creates a clear line of sight between teams on the ground and leadership in the store.
A Leadership Structure That Lifts People Up
SASR’s field structure is designed not just for efficiency, but for growth. With roles ranging from Field Employee to Lead, Project Coordinators (PC1 and PC2), Field Managers, Talent Consultants, and National Account Managers, we offer a path forward for those who want to lead. Many of our top performers have advanced through the ranks, gaining valuable experience along the way. All of our employees have prior retail experience, which also enhances their efficiency and collaboration.
Sourcing Local Talent, Fast
Our recruiting team knows how to move quickly. Using a mix of job boards, referrals, and our internal candidate database, they’re able to find, hire, and deploy qualified workers in as little as six days. That’s how we staffed high-performing remodels in places like Delray Beach, FL, and Perry, FL, both of which had standout results.
In Perry, the remodel wrapped up a whole week early. In Delray, our team maintained full staffing and a smooth workflow from start to finish.
What Our Teams Delivered
Across these remodels, SASR teams executed a wide range of critical assignments:
- Full-category merchandising resets using new planograms and layouts
- Shelf reflow, labeling, facing, and zone integrity to meet Walmart standards
- Gondola and fixture movement, including breakdown, relocation, and reassembly
- Endcap and inline display installations, along with signage, seasonal headers, and wall décor
- Cooler and freezer door resets, including handle swaps and labeling
- Safety enhancements such as navigation signage and barrier setups
- Backroom organization and cleanup during final turnover phases
- Punch list and final walkthrough support, ensuring every store was customer-ready
This wide scope of services was coordinated through daily recap calls and consistent field oversight to ensure every store remodel ran smoothly and stayed on schedule.
