SASR Workforce Solutions Partners With The Giving Solutions

The Giving SolutionsAt SASR Workforce Solutions’ 2022 Annual Corporate Company Meeting in February, the continued partnership with the nonprofit organization, The Giving Solutions, was announced. Tiffany Hanvey spoke to the company regarding the mission behind the organization and what SASR can do to help. This is where she first introduced CASA to the company and the amazing work they do for families in the Raleigh, NC area.

The Giving Solutions

TGS works with companies to connect them to nonprofits through serving. When people “feel good about the way their organization contributes to community”, they are 83% more likely to put in effort in their job and 57% more likely to feel valued in their work place.

CASA’s mission is to provide access to stable and affordable housing for people who are homeless or at risk by developing and managing rental communities. Founded in 1992 by local Wake County community members, CASA now has over 460 total apartment units across Orange, Wake, and Durham counties with 324 apartments currently in their development pipeline, according to their 2021 Annual Report

SASR's Contribution

Through The Giving Solutions, SASR was able to help support CASA and their cause by getting their employees involved. SASR was challenged to work within their departments to collect home goods to be presented to new CASA residents. Items could include bathroom supplies, laundry detergent, kitchen supplies, cleaning items, and more.

Once all items were collected, SASR’s Founder, Erik Hanvey, and TGS’s Tiffany Hanvey, visited the office to receive and vote on the best basket. Upon review, the winning basket belonged to the Finance & Technology team (see feature image). The team was award $300 to be donated to their nonprofit organization of choice in the name of SASR Workforce Solutions.
